Dear Foremost Cooperative Members,
It is with a heavy heart that we write to you today. After four years of serving our community and sharing our passion for craft beer, we have made the difficult decision to close the brewpub.
This decision comes after careful consideration of our financial situation and several months of challenging business conditions. While we are immensely proud of what we've built together—the friendships formed, the memories made, and the unique brews Terrence has created—we must face the reality that continuing operations is no longer sustainable.
We plan to celebrate our final weeks together properly. Our annual BobFest will proceed as planned on February 22nd, and we invite all of you to join us for this special event. Following BobFest, we will remain open another week until the end of February or as supplies allow. Our last day will be February 28, 2025.
As a cooperative, this brewery has always been more than just beer—it has been a community endeavor, shaped by your support, enthusiasm, and dedication. We want to express our deepest gratitude to:
- Our founding members who believed in this vision
- Our loyal patrons who have supported us throughout these four years
- Our dedicated staff who have poured their hearts into every serving
- The downtown community which welcomed us
In the coming weeks, we will provide additional information regarding the closure process on our social media and website. For now we are including a few anticipated FAQs.
We welcome you to visit us during these final weeks to raise a glass, share memories, and celebrate what we built together.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
Sincerely,
The Foremost Board of Directors
FAQs
When exactly are you closing?
We will be running normal business operations through BobFest on February 22. The week after that we will be open as supplies allow. We plan to close on February 28, 2025.
Are my gift cards still good?
Yes! Please come in and use them before February 22 to ensure that you are able to get full value from them. After February 22, we will honor gift cards as long as we are able to stay open
I have the Tasting Room reserved. Can I still keep my reservation?
If your reservation is before February 22, you may keep your event as scheduled without concern. We will likely be reducing our menu leading up to February 22. If there is a particular food item you were looking forward to, please email us or talk to Rachael or Anna to check on availability.
Will I get my membership fee back?
Unfortunately, no. Foremost is not legally required to repay memberships. Additionally, we do not have the funds to do so.
Is the brewpub for sale/Can I buy the brewpub?
The business assets, including the name Foremost, could be for sale. The building itself is listed with Colliers. The two could be sold separately or together. Reach out to us with serious inquiries.
